Public Notice: CPRA Request & Demand for Transparency and Accountability in Unlawful Vehicle Tow and Retaliation With LADOT & LAPD

ree

Date: August 9, 2025

By- The Sovereign Record

On October 16, 2024, my vehicle was unlawfully towed from 1505 W. 60th Place, Los Angeles, CA 90047 in what I assert was a targeted act of retaliation.

This incident occurred after I exposed illegal actions by LAPD detectives and officers, including the serving of fraudulent instruments used to maliciously prosecute me. Evidence also indicates that covert operations were conducted against me while I was detained, with the intent to cause further harm.

This is a preview of the Oct 16, 2024 Incident

In pursuit of public accountability and justice, I have filed a formal California Public Records Act (CPRA) request to the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT), demanding full disclosure of all records, communications, and documentation relating to this unlawful tow and related activities.

Records Requested Include (But Are Not Limited To):

  • Tow Authorization & Violation Details — Specific violation codes or reasons cited; authorizations, orders, citations, and original signed documents related to the tow.

  • Personnel Involved — Names, badge numbers, and positions of all LADOT and LAPD officers present at the scene, including supervisory personnel with oversight authority.

  • Body-Worn Camera & Video Footage — All body cam footage from LAPD and LADOT officers and any other official video sources capturing the incident.

  • Communications — Internal and external emails, memos, radio dispatch logs, and call recordings related to this tow between LADOT, LAPD, and the towing company.

  • Towing Company Information — Identity, licensing, invoices, and correspondence related to the towing.

  • Insurance Policies & Surety Bonds — Copies of all insurance policies, bonds, and surety agreements held by LADOT, LAPD, and the towing company covering liabilities from this tow and associated actions.

  • Incident Reports & Investigations — Supervisor reviews, investigative files, and final authorizations for vehicle impoundment.

This request is made to ensure transparency, expose retaliatory abuses of power, and safeguard the community from unlawful government conduct. Public agencies must be held accountable when abusing authority to silence whistleblowers and cover up misconduct.

The Sovereign Record will continue to follow this matter closely and provide updates to the community as information becomes available.

We call on LADOT, LAPD, and all involved parties to respond openly and promptly to this request for truth and justice.
